Professor
Dr. Islam is currently serving as a Professor of Management in the Department of Humanities of the Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology. He has published more than 23 papers in the peer reviewed national and international recognised journals. He has also completed 5 research projects funded by University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) and RUET. His current research project is "Revisiting current HR roles to promote Green HRM for the leading industry sectors in Bangladesh". Dr. Islam has recently presented two papers in the International Conference held in Thailand and India respectively. Besides, he has served the chair of the Department of Humanities, RUET from April 2019 to April 2023. He also served as Provost (Female Hall) and In-charge of the central store of RUET. His research interests include Green HRM, sustainable entrepreneurship, creating shared value, corporate social responsibility, strategic management and leadership.
